About the Artist

Bio
Working primarily in porcelain clay, Eve Cabral creates organic sculptural vessels and forms inspired by the movement and beauty of the natural world. From her North Shore, Massachusetts studio in Amesbury, she works close to the woods, the sea, and the shifting light that continue to guide her hand.
Her connection to nature has been a constant throughout her life. Growing up in Connecticut, she spent her childhood exploring the forests, streams, and waterfalls that surrounded her. These early experiences continue to influence her work and shape her connection to the natural world.
Eve earned her bachelor’s degree in Art Education from the University of Vermont and her master’s degree from Lesley University. She continued her studies with graduate courses at Massachusetts College of Art and The School of the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston. After a 26-year career as an Art Educator, Eve now devotes herself fully to her artwork.
Eve is a member of the Newburyport Art Association, the North Shore Art Association, the Rockport Art Association, and the Abstract Artists Group of New England. Her work is available through her website and at her studio by appointment.
Artist's Statement:
My work captures a moment of movement suspended in time. I am inspired by the graceful way movement reveals itself in the natural world — the gentle flow of water, a breeze moving through leaves, the blooming of a flower, or the delicate unfurling of forms in nature.
Working with porcelain clay, I explore the interplay between intention and spontaneity, allowing the material to take shape through gentle curves, flowing edges, and undulating surfaces. Much like the natural forms that inspire me, the clay shifts, folds, and settles into balance. The resulting sculptures evoke a sense of stillness and reflection, capturing the quiet beauty of motion.
As you experience these pieces, I invite you to look beyond their surfaces and imagine the movement they hold. Perhaps they will bring to mind a familiar experience — the tide reaching the shore, a breeze passing through the trees in a forest, or a blossom slowly opening in your garden. My hope is that each piece evokes the quiet joy of a moment in nature that stays with you long after it has passed.
